Mr Mbasa Metuse was appointed to the Sentech Board as a Non-Executive Director on 20 April 2021.

Mbasa is a distinguished businessman, bureaucrat, and social activist with extensive experience across governance structures, the private sector, non-governmental organisations, and public service. He is the Founding Member and Executive Chairman of Itsamaya Holdings and has played a pivotal role in advancing community-focused and development-oriented initiatives.

He holds a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Development Research Methods and a Bachelor of Social Science degree from the University of Fort Hare, as well as a Project Management Certificate from the University of Stellenbosch Business School. He is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration at Wits Business School.

Mr Metuse serves on several boards, including Mayibuye Transport Corporation and FASSET, and has previously held leadership and committee roles at organisations such as the National Heritage Council, USAASA, King Hintsa TVET College, and ASPIRE. His contributions reflect a strong focus on governance, strategy, and human development.
