Mr Mbasa Metuse was appointed to the Sentech Board as a Non-Executive Director on 20 April 2021.

Mbasa is an experienced Business Man, Bureaucrat and Social activist. He has vast experience across sectors, Public, Private and, Non-Government Sectors. He is a founding member and Executive Chairman of Itsamaya Holdings. He is also a member of the Institute of Directors in the Southern Africa (IoDSA) and currently pursuing Chartered Directorship Designation with the same Institute. He holds the following academic qualifications amongst others, Masters in Business Administration (MBA), Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (PDBA), Bachelor of Social Sciences, Project Management Certificate, studied Honours in Development Studies and also did Masters on Social Policy and Development Research Methods.

His other credentials are as follows: Non-Executive Director at SENTECH, FASSET (Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority, Mandela Bay Théâtre Complex (MBTC), Universal Service and Access Agency (USAASA), National Heritage Council (NHC), Mayibuye Transport Corporation, (MTC) Aspire Development Agency and King Hintsa College. He has been and continue to be the Chairperson and of various committees in all these organisations.
