In May 2016, Itumeleng Segaloe assumed the role of Chief Strategy Officer at Sentech. In his capacity as Chief Strategy Officer, Itumeleng is entrusted with driving growth opportunities and transformation through mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships while overseeing brand management, stakeholder relations, international business, and ESG initiatives.

With over 20 years of combined experience in strategy consulting and executive leadership, Itumeleng has served as both a Strategy Consultant and Chief Strategy Officer. Before joining Sentech, he distinguished himself as an entrepreneur and investor in media & entertainment, property investments, and consulting, serving as the CEO and founder of Onward Consulting Group. His consultancy firm specialises in broadcast media and telecommunications. Itumeleng’s multifaceted career also includes serving on the boards of organisations such as the South African Communication Forum and Youth Alive Ministries, as well as acting as a trustee for the Sentech Retirement Fund.

His prior experience extends to roles as Head of Economic Projects at Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, where he played a pivotal role in the economic policy transformation of the country, and as a Senior Business Development Officer at SEED Foundation, focusing on micro-enterprise finance. With his diverse skill set and strategic foresight, Itumeleng Segaloe continues to lead Sentech’s strategic initiatives, driving the company towards sustainable growth and innovation in the dynamic telecommunications landscape.
