Minister Opens ICT Cyberlab in Limpopo
On 16 May 2025, Minister Solly Malatsi inaugurated a cutting-edge ICT Cyberlab at Morutwa Secondary School in Madiga Village, Limpopo. Developed with Telkom and supported by SENTECH, the launch marked World Telecommunication and Information Society Day. The initiative empowers learners with digital tools, promoting education, inclusion, and community development.

Strategic Tech Discussion

Empowering Women Technologically
On 26 August 2022, Minister Khumbudzo Ntshavheni of the Department of Communications & Digital Technologies engaged with women installers supporting South Africa’s analogue switch-off. The Broadcast Digital Migration programme has empowered women socio-economically, aligning with Women’s Month. The Minister was joined by executive staff from state-owned entities.

President’s Digital Vision
SENTECH is in Lusikisiki supporting President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call for Khawuleza District Coordination Model. Today the President launched the model, the Ministry of Communications and Digital Technologies, its entities and stakeholders including SENTECH have provided broadband (SA Connect and Telkom WiFi) and DTT connectivity at Lusikisiki Village Clinic.
Innovation in Wireless Tech
Mr SENTECH Head of Innovation, Mr Dumisa Ngwenya, delivered a presentation on 4IR with 5G and IOT. WAC is a platform for wireless researchers to share their results, call for comments and collaborations, and exchange innovative ideas of leading-edge research in wireless technologies.
SENTECH AGM 2020
Communications and Digital Technologies Minister Stella Ndabeni Abrahams and Deputy Minister Pinky Kekana are today, attending the SENTECH Annual General Meeting. At this meeting, the Board of Directors will present the Annual Report to the Minister who represents the Shareholder, being the Government of South Africa.
