The Technology

By virtue of Sentech's multimedia licence, and using its world-class Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT) network, Sentech offers Internet-connectivity and IP solutions to suit every pocket. Cost-efficient configurations are available for high-volume and remote home users, small and medium enterprises and large corporations. The basic equipment is the same - a bi-directional satellite dish, a low noise block converter (for receiving data), a block up converter (for transmitting data) and a multi-protocol in-door communications hub. The o­nly equipment a customer needs for full internet access, is a desktop PC or a laptop, as the rest is supplied, owned and maintained by Sentech. There is no need for a telephone line or a modem. Sentech has a variety of packaged offerings that can be selected to suit individual customer’s requirements, specific needs and budgets.
