- VMESH is a demand assigned multiple access (DAMA) VSAT network using C-Band satellite coverage of the whole of the African continent, Western and Central Europe.
- Each customer is assigned a dedicated pool of satellite bandwidth - ranging from as little as 64 kilobits per second to 8.75 megabits per second in 64 kilobit increments - that can be shared on demand among terminals as required. Any one terminal can burst up to the full available bandwidth allocated or terminals can be limited to a maximum usage. Full traffic prioritization is available according to customer requirements.
- VMESH supports various protocols including SCADA, HDLC, SDLC, ASYNC and BSC that may be required by legacy software. Each network is independent, closed and secure with full conditional access.
- Sentech offers installation and maintenance of all required equipment anywhere in Africa as well as service level agreements to suit customer requirements. The space segment has typically a guaranteed availability of 99.6 percent.
- Sentech can also offer internet access and associated services to any network through its managed, high-availability network infrastructure.
