Response to Swazi Observer article - "pay up or no tv"

An article titled “pay up or no tv” that appeared on the Swazi Observer on 17 June 2009 reported that a blackout of television channels would be experienced soon as a result of Sentech upgrading its digitalisation system in preparation for 2010.  The article further alleges that Sentech is “…changing from Panamsat to another satellite which automatically means that consumers will also have to upgrade their decoders or get new ones.”

Sentech would like to expunge the rumours as they are based on factual and contextual inaccuracies meant to generate business for Wiztech Satellite.  Viewers need not be alarmed by false marketing and misrepresentation by companies that are in no way aligned to Sentech.

Sentech reiterates that it under no circumstances supports nor promotes any satellite decoders offered by Wiztech satellites for viewing Sentech’s Vivid platform.
